For owners

Review guidelines

Every review on laundromatnear.me is confirmed by email and read by a person before it appears. Here is what we publish and what we don't.

What we publish

  • Your own experience. You used this laundromat, dry cleaner or laundry service yourself.
  • Specific and factual. What happened and when: machines, cleanliness, wait, staff, prices, turnaround, how a problem was handled.
  • Respectful language. Criticism is welcome; abuse is not.

What we don't publish

  • Reviews of a business you never used, second-hand stories or rumours.
  • Personal attacks, profanity, discriminatory remarks or threats.
  • Accusations of crimes stated as fact. Claims for lost or damaged items belong with the business, your insurer or the authorities.
  • Personal information about staff or other customers, such as names or phone numbers.
  • Promotional content, attacks on competitors, or reviews written by the business itself.

Corrections to a listing (closed, moved, wrong hours or phone number) are welcome too. Send them through our contact form and we fix the listing.

How it works

  1. You write a review and give your email address. It is never shown.
  2. You click the confirmation link we email you.
  3. A person checks the review against these guidelines.
  4. Published reviews appear on the listing page, and we email you when yours is live. If we can't publish it, we email you that too, and you may write it again.

Email confirmation shows that a real person wrote the review. It does not prove that the writer was a customer. Owners on the Pro or Leads plan may post one public reply under each review; replies follow the same standards. A paid plan never removes or changes a review.
