This policy explains how laundromatnear.me ("we") collects, uses and protects information when you visit the site or use its services. By using the site you agree to this policy.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Contact messages: your name, email address and message, so we can reply.
• Reviews: your first name (shown with the review), your email address (never shown, used only to confirm the review) and what you write.
• Business submissions and corrections: the business details you send and your contact details.
• Service requests sent to a business from its page: the details you enter, passed to that business, with a copy kept by us.
• Owner accounts: name, email address and a password (stored only as a one-way hash), the listing you manage and what you add to it.
• Payments for owner plans are handled by our payment processor. We receive the plan, the status and your email address; we never see or store your card number.

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and time spent, through server logs and analytics cookies.
• "Use my location": only when you choose it, your browser shares your position; we round it to about 100 meters, use it once to find nearby listings, and do not store it or keep it in our logs.
• Page counters on some business pages count views and taps on Call, Website and Directions. They record only the listing and the kind of tap, nothing about you.

How we use it

• To run the site, show listings and answer your messages.
• To confirm and moderate reviews, and to send owners the emails their account needs.
• To keep the site secure and stop spam and fraud, including a bot check on forms.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us run the site: hosting, email delivery, the payment processor, the bot check on forms, analytics and advertising. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
• The business you send a service request to.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users' safety.
• A buyer or successor, if the site is sold or merged.

Maps

Maps on the site load image tiles from OpenStreetMap servers, which receive your IP address to deliver them. Directions links open Google Maps, whose own privacy policy applies there.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies that the site needs to work (for example, keeping an owner signed in). Analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you choose \"Accept all\" in the cookie banner; with \"Necessary only\", Google receives cookieless signals and ads are not personalized. Change your choice any time with \"Cookie settings\" at the bottom of every page. We show ads served by Google AdSense: Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. How long we keep it

Contact messages, reviews and submissions are kept while they are useful for running the site. Rejected reviews are kept in our moderation records. Owner account data is kept while the account is open; ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or to limit how we use it. Email us and we reply within 30 days.

Children

The site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and changes apply from that date.
